I spent all of today arenaing on the PTR and I thought I'd express my findings here.

　　Admittedly my friend was a ret pally (aka: pvp ez-mode)    but the fact is, the combo was an extremely effective one for 2s. Neither of us has more than s2 gear and a few raid epics, but we were really owning most teams. Probably had about an 80% win ratio. Granted, many of these fights were against scrubs and PuG skirmishers, but the fact is it really built up my confidence in our team... and not just because Ret is overpowered at the moment. In fact, we never lost a single match to a team with another ret pally on it (once went up against 2 rets even) which makes me think that Shadow Priest could be among the most powerful combos to team with Ret in arena. The reason is that neither target is really focusable. Focus the Pally and he bubbles. Focus the Priest and he can either get BoPed or Dispersion. So it creates a bad situation for the opposing side who has to switch from one target to the next. My healing as a Shadow Priest was amazing and was really able to turn the tide in many fights that would have resulted in ours having a loss. Our damage was very high and as a burst 2s team, I don't see many combos being better, simply because they provide insanely high burst damage (If he gets off HoJ and Crusader Strikes + Judges and I MB + SW:D, we take off about 8k damage in a single instant) with very effective defensive capabilities. The thing that really pleased me was that I never felt like I was being carried by my retadin partner. We synergized extremely well and I was exactly half of the reason for our success. (Well... maybe 40%... Retadins are really powerful at the moment)
